CRAFTing Our Power and Giving Thanks

Over the summer, CRAFT launched its first ever fellowship. We provided a space for folks at different levels of understanding of nuclear issues and Fermi 2 to come together, learn, and build community and resources around these issues. The closing was a beautiful gathering, which included a playful skit that was very informative as well as the spirit of fellowship.

There are quite a few highlights we could mention, but we have included a video which captures some of the spirit of intentionality, education, community, and giving thanks. We believe these are at the core of the solutions that we present in the future we see ourselves in.

During this time of year, the United States celebrates Thanksgiving, which is a holiday based around a gathering of Indigenous people’s and pilgrims. CRAFT questions the narrative of this idea by asking, “Where are the indigenous peoples of this land today?” While people celebrate this supposed fellowship, we ask, “Where are the Indigenous people at your gathering?” If these questions are tough to answer, you might rethink the values and principles you gather around.

This year, support giving thanks regularly and giving thanks for the land, which has provided much now and into the future.
